About Becky

Hello, Friend!

I'm so glad you're here! Step over the Legos, grab a latte, and let's enjoy a moment together!

I hope my little corner of the web is a place where you can take a pit stop in your day to breathe deep, laugh a little (at my life or yours, both are appropriate), and be encouraged to lean on the Lord in whatever moment you find yourself in.

Most of the moments I find myself in involve dirt, dirt, and more dirt. I never imagined God would bless me with three boys in three and a half years!! But he did. And though most days I can't find time to run a comb through my hair, I wouldn't trade the beautiful chaos for anything.

Not only have my sons, ages 4, 3, and 1, taught me more than I ever knew about weapon noises and the need to constantly wrestle, but they have taught me how to find beauty in the daily messes, how to surrender my will for God's ways, and find joy in my weakness for the sake of glorifying His strength.

I love sharing my heart with girlfriends who understand, love coffee with Italian Sweet Cream, love writing poetry. I love hiking with my boys, getting a french pedicure, and soaking up five minutes of quiet. I could spend an entire day cuddled on the couch with a stack of books...but these days I mostly cuddle boys with salty-sweet necks that nuzzle into mine and whisper silly things in angel voices.

I love to count gifts...look for the ordinary beautiful that's actually a gift straight from God's heart to mine. Gifts that call me to joy. I love to shoot straight about motherhood...because it's the best and hardest thing I've ever done and some days it puts me on cloud 9 and some days I have to pray just to get through the next nine minutes. Motherhood. is. no. joke.

Did I mention I love my boys? Love being a mom?

 I love my husband.

I love my Jesus. I want to follow Him each moment of each day, and help others to know and follow him, too.

And I love words. That's because I'm a writer.

So thanks for stopping by! Come on over anytime.

Eucharisteo!!

Hi, Becky! We met at Allume, Mindy and I took the shuttle together. You took a photo of us after impact opportunities. Would you mind emailing me the photo? :) anna[at]annaradchenko[dot]net Thank you so much!

We are kindred souls, Becky. There is definitely something God has for intersecting my life with yours. I look forward to seeing.

Becky!

Nice to "meet" you. :)

I love your About Me and your sons are GORGEOUS and look like the best kind of trouble. I've got a different kind of the wildness -- four girls.

I started here with your FMF post and liked it so much I'm going to peek around a bit... I don't mind stepping over legos. My house is never clean.

A friend of mine from church told me about a poem I'd never heard before:

"Cleaning the house
While the kids are still growing
Is like shoveling snow
While it is still snowing."

Yep. : )

I love the way Tsh Oxenreider put it once: the days are long but the years are short.

Anyway, sorry to chat it up in your comments! :)
